Thanksgiving Recipe Round-up!
Wed, Nov 17, 2010
In a little under a week it will be Thanksgiving! Are you ready yet?
I know for many this is the kick-off to what will be a crazy month of cooking, shopping, decorating, and enjoying family and friends. For my family Thanksgiving is filled with tradition, from mom’s roast turkey to my pumpkin cheesecake. Along with all out traditional food favorites I always like to throw in something new – perhaps a tradition of its own. So, while we finish up our meal plans I thought I would share with you a few of my fall favorites for Thanksgiving. These dishes that are perfect for the season!
Starters:
We usually have some snacks sitting out for the family to nibble on while the last of the food is being prepared. It keeps the hungry mob away from the cooling turkey anyway!
Roasted Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato and Maple Soup
Jalapeno Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms
Main Dishes:
At our Thanksgiving table you will find the traditional turkey, but we also have a second meat dish for those who like some variety. These are both easy to prepare and welcome additions to any holiday menu.

Slow-Cooker Braised Short Ribs with Honey Garlic Glaze
Side Dishes:
I am the Queen of Side Dishes, meaning I prepare most of the sides enjoyed during Thanksgiving. These are a few family favorites.

Desserts:
What Turkey Day meal is complete with out a dessert? I always make a pumpkin cheesecake, but I always make something else. The following are a few of my 2nd dessert favorites.

After seeing this roundup, I think I would like to have Thanksgiving at your house… LOVE the idea of having short ribs and mac and cheese for Thanksgiving! Yes, please!
Awesome recipes!
What time is the feast?! And more importantly, what time is the chocolate chip pecan pie making it’s appearance?
I like the Southwestern touch to some of these recipes. A little more heat, the Chipotle glaze, the Empanadas – it all sounds fabulous! Have a wonderful turkey day.
After all these photographs, I’m more than ready for Thanksgiving! I could go for a slice of that chocolate chip pecan pie right about now
Hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving!
